Product Description
A Certificate of Calibration is an official document provided by a calibration laboratory or manufacturer that verifies a pyrometer’s accuracy and performance against recognized standards. This certificate includes detailed information such as the pyrometer’s model and serial number, calibration date, and the specific measurements and tolerances tested. It ensures that the pyrometer meets industry standards and specifications, providing traceability to national or international measurement standards. Either the European PTB standard or the NIST standard is supported. Additionally, it includes information about the calibration procedure, environmental conditions during calibration, and the credentials of the technician who performed the calibration. Regular calibration, documented by such certificates, is crucial for maintaining measurement precision, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting quality control processes in various industries.

FAQs
When should I recalibrate the device?
Optris advises that the best practice is to send in the infrared equipment every two years. However, some quality guidelines in demanding manufacturing processes require checking and recalibrating infrared imagers more frequently, up to every year. The frequency of readjustment is determined by the customer’s applied quality standards and the required measurement accuracy.
How long will it take to recalibrate the pyrometer?
On average, the usual turnaround time is 2… 3 weeks after arrival.
Which calibration standard is traced?
Our calibration services adhere to the PTB or NIST standard, ensuring high quality and accuracy.
Can I get the calibration certificate after purchase and delivery?
All calibrations are stored in a database and can be traced to NIST or PTB even after delivery.
